The restaurant is in keeping with the surroundings: simple, wooden salas and thatched roofs made of palm leaves and bamboo.

  We are so happy we chose a private boat! We had Sarah as our guide and she was wonderful. She explained each stop to us, and let us really experience each location in full until we were ready to move on. A tasty lunch and drinks were also provided. The water that day was pretty rough but our Captain was PHENOMENAL. He truly knew how to navigate the boat through the rough waters and he was dang good at it. The communication leading up to the excursion was also very efficient. We were in contact with Neil the entire time and always knew what was going on.

Our tour guide, Sara, was friendly and made sure we got to do everything on our list and more! She also took us to Rang Yai Island where there was a nice Pearl Shop there to browse. Our group of 12 ranged from age 12 to 60 and our bot crew made sure we were all safe when snorkeling. We had a super day swimming, snorkeling, browsing shops and enjoying the beautiful scenery around the Phi Phi Islands. On top of that, they provided a delicious picnic lunch.

The team was extremely fast to respond, even with a 12 hour time difference. My wife and I have come to expect great things out of excisions and were not disappointed. We had a very comfortable shuttle from the hotel to the dock where we received a briefing of our day. We set off right away in a private speed boat with two guides. The guides were so much fun and had much knowledge. We went right to the first secluded spot to snorkel. They provided the gear. We then jumped over to another island where we had a delicious lunch prepared by the crew and spent some time just swimming and walking the beach. We made one more stop on the way out of the bay to snorkel the headed to our final stop. On a completely vacant beach we enjoyed more time on the land and In the ocean. We even spent some time with goats! We did purchase some beers from the convenience store prior to departing in the morning. They provide water and sodas but we opted for an addition. Back at the dock we wrapped up with some fresh fruit and Champaign.

What is the best way to get to Bon Island from Phuket besides by private boat?

Bon Island is a short longtail boat ride away from Rawai Beach or by boat service from Rawai Landing Pier. Long tail boat taxis are readily available and are the most common mode of transport from Rawai Beach.

Is snorkeling gear available on Bon Island?

There is no snorkeling equipment for hire on the island. It is best to bring your own snorkeling gear or use the equipment provided by your tour operator if it is provided.

Is Bon Island Restaurant the only restaurant on Bon Island Phuket?

Yes, the Bon Island Restaurant is the only establishment on the island; there are no other facilities.

Where is Coral Island in relation to Bon Island?

Like Bon Island, Coral Island is a small island off Phuket, but bigger than Bon Island. It is relatively close to Bon Island, situated further east into the Andaman Sea, past Bon Island, from Phuket. It can be incorporated into a day trip that includes Bon Island and Lon Island, with Coral Seekers private day charters. The distance between the two islands is approximately 2.5 to 3 kilometers.

When is the best time to go to Koh Bon Island Phuket?

Koh Bon is accessible all year round. However, high season, which is dry season, is the best time to visit the islands. During the rainy season, in the event of bad weather, boat transfers by longtail boat and other boats will not journey to Koh Bon.

Is there a strong underwater stream off Koh Bon Island Phuket?

As always, being aware of water currents in the sea is common sense. Evidently, there are areas of the coast of Bon where the current flows more forcefully, so when cooling off in the waters off the beach, stay close.
