Pristine Koh Bon Island Tour 2024
Koh Bon Island Phuket – Tiny Island Great Escape By Speed Boat!
Escape the hustle and bustle of Phuket for the day and island-hop over to the balmy island of Ko Bon, just off the South coast of Phuket, by an exclusive private speed boat charter.
Your dreamy day ahead departs from Ao Yon Beach, a quiet and tranquil beach on the peninsula near Cape Panwa, away from the normal drop-off points, piers, and touristy busyness.
We will whisk you away from your hotel by private transfer on the morning of your anticipated day trip (round trip) and before you know it you will be aboard with family and friends, as you set off on the gorgeous waters of the Andaman Sea in comfort and style.
A picturesque piece of paradise awaits your presence! Within 20 minutes or so you will set foot on a sandy beach of Bon. The order of the day? Carefree, relaxed, barefoot and beachy, with its unspoiled feel and pure paradisal charm.
Watch the World Go By
Position a beach mat in a serene spot on a sandy beach and watch the longtail boats and sailing boats go by.
While away the day exploring the limestone rocky outcrops, secret beaches, and enjoy the lush vegetation, and unwind from the stresses of life.
Having the services of your own private boat and captain for the day means you can explore around Bon Island, seeking prime sites for snorkeling and a secluded spot for a pleasurable picnic lunch. The island may be small, but the opportunity to discover the hidden coves, beach areas and rocky outcrops is bountiful.
Your Picnic Lunch in Paradise
Savor a selection of Thai food and fresh fruit dishes under the palm trees as you indulge in the plentiful picnic lunch, prepared for your convenience. After lunch, laze about or dip into refreshing crystal blue waters for a swim.
Underwater Adventures of the Snorkeling Kind
Spending time exploring the world beneath the water line, around Bon, off the boat or beach is a great way to devote your day, between swimming, relaxing, and delving into lunch. The island’s southwest side is where you will find a particularly good snorkeling spot. Excursions around the island by boat will lead you to discover hidden pockets of beach, coves and jutting rocks and boulders, and a rocky islet (western side, south west corner). The clear waters are ideal for spotting marine life and coral formations.
Time Stands Still on Koh Bon Island
Venture to the long beach area on the island’s east side, which is also a hiking area. Take advantage of time on your hands and sunbathe for the last time, along the lapping waters edge before it’s time to head back to Phuket Island.
A Note about Bon Island Restaurant
While lunch, fresh fruit, snacks, and cold drinks are included in your private speed boat charter, you may want to sip on cocktails and coconuts during the course of your day.
Bon Island Restaurant, on the northern tip of the island, offers a number of tasty local Thai food (and Western dishes) like fried rice in a pineapple boat and other classic dishes, as well as a variety of drinks. The restaurant is in keeping with the surroundings: simple, wooden salas and thatched roofs made of palm leaves and bamboo.
Bon Island By Speed Boat FAQs
What is the best way to get to Bon Island from Phuket besides by private boat?
Bon Island is a short longtail boat ride away from Rawai Beach or by boat service from Rawai Landing Pier. Long tail boat taxis are readily available and are the most common mode of transport from Rawai Beach.
Is snorkeling gear available on Bon Island?
There is no snorkeling equipment for hire on the island. It is best to bring your own snorkeling gear or use the equipment provided by your tour operator if it is provided.
Is Bon Island Restaurant the only restaurant on Bon Island Phuket?
Yes, the Bon Island Restaurant is the only establishment on the island; there are no other facilities.
Where is Coral Island in relation to Bon Island?
Like Bon Island, Coral Island is a small island off Phuket, but bigger than Bon Island. It is relatively close to Bon Island, situated further east into the Andaman Sea, past Bon Island, from Phuket. It can be incorporated into a day trip that includes Bon Island and Lon Island, with Coral Seekers private day charters. The distance between the two islands is approximately 2.5 to 3 kilometers.
When is the best time to go to Koh Bon Island Phuket?
Koh Bon is accessible all year round. However, high season, which is dry season, is the best time to visit the islands. During the rainy season, in the event of bad weather, boat transfers by longtail boat and other boats will not journey to Koh Bon.
Is there a strong underwater stream off Koh Bon Island Phuket?
As always, being aware of water currents in the sea is common sense. Evidently, there are areas of the coast of Bon where the current flows more forcefully, so when cooling off in the waters off the beach, stay close.
