Forget the bustling piers of Phuket or the piers of Krabi like Ao Nam Mao or Nopparat Thara Pier, or even taking a tour from Tub Kaek or Khlong Muang Beach. The beauty of a private speed boat charter is that you can steer clear of the crowds and head for the hidden coves and secret beaches, and create the most amazing memories with loved ones.
Early Morning Magic Tropical Thai-Style
Your day begins with an early but stress free private pick-up from your hotel lobby in Phuket. Ask for a takeaway breakfast, as you will be whisked away in no time to the departing pier, Boat Lagoon, where you’ll set off exclusively, with an exciting day ahead. You’ll cruise across the shimmering morning waters, with the open sea stretched before you, as the sun and sea breeze invigorate your senses as you head to Krabi and the Phi Phi Islands.
The Thrill of Tropical Island Hopping Discoveries
First stop, Krabi! Pass by Ao Nang Beach – a long sandy beach – at a leisurely pace, down the coast to Railay Beach and Phra Nang Beach – another lovely white sandy beach – and the picturesque peninsula. This scenic spot is a Krabi highlight and offers a number of white sand beaches, amid an incredible tropical backdrop, with views and an atmosphere that is hard to beat.
Next stop, the 4 Islands not far from the Krabi peninsula – and especially during low tide. Poda Island, Tup Island, Koh Mor and the separated sea, ‘Thale Waek’ – when the tide recedes you can walk the sandbar that connects these islands. Not forgetting Koh Kai, AKA Chicken Island – the island’s incredible rock formation that gives its name (not to be confused with ‘gai’ which means chicken, while ‘kai’ means egg….only in Thailand!)
These beautiful islands are unique and an ideal stop for photos, swimming, snorkeling, and simply admiring the landscapes of both land and sea.
Time to head further south to the Phi Phi Islands for a awe-inspiring pit stop at the Phi Island highlights.
Enjoy a delicious Thai Buffet Lunch on the main Phi Phi Island, Phi Don. After a morning of exciting exploration, refuel for the afternoon adventures! And if you feel peckish during the day, snacks and fresh fruit are served, as well as drinking water and soft drinks.
Fall in love with Bamboo Island and its powdery white sand beach, Phi Don’s Monkey Bay and Monkey Beach, for a chance to see the local resident Macaques. Then on to Koh Phi Phi Leh. Highlights here are the Viking Cave, where you can glimpse the cave wall painting artwork that includes boats that look like a Scandinavian Drakkar longship. Not from Viking days though – these paintings are believed to have been created by sailors and traders who sought shelter in the cave during monsoon storms.
Next, zip around to the exquisite turquoise Pileh Lagoon surrounded by limestone mountains, and of course the famous Maya Bay.
Spend your time, througout the day, swimming and snorkeling the crystal clear waters and around the coral reefs. Snorkeling gear is provided, so you can explore the vibrant underwater world all around, to your heart’s content.
Note! Take care not to stand or touch the coral or marine life, swim horizonatally until you reach the sandy bottom, and use mineral based sunscreen.
Did you know? Most of these islands form part of Thailand’s National Parks, so we encourage leaving only footprints in the sand wherever you go! Visiting these beautiful areas requires an entry fee. Your contribution to the National Park Fees ensure that these stunning natural environments remain protected for future generations.
Which will be your favourite place of the day? Possibly the turquoise lagoon of Phi Leh or the cimematic sight of Maya Bay, or perhaps even the mischievious monkeys or the soft white sand of Bamboo Island!
