Hong Lagoon

The limestone walls encircle the emerald water, making the Lagoon completely surrounded by limestone walls. This amazing lake-like body of water is a hidden piece of heaven. Hong Islands’s Lagoon is like an exquisite gem, possibly the island’s main attraction, and there’s no surprise why. Accessible by foot through a narrow rock opening during low tide – and it is just a narrow entrance – it is a sight to behold and a fantastic place. Hong Island’s lagoon opening to the sea is surrounded by sand, offering a unique white sand beach-like area.

Koh Hong Islands Geography and Location

Hong Island, Koh Hong, is located in the Krabi Province of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Koh Hong Island is part of the larger Phang Nga Bay area and has National Park status. It is about 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) from Ao Nang Beach, one of the main tourist hubs near Krabi Town.

Our day tours by private speed boat or yacht charter from Phuket or Ao Nang, Krabi, are the most ideal and enjoyable way to get to Hong Island.

Koh Hong Island has neighboring islands, the small islands of Lading Island and Pak Bia Island. These tropical islands are just some of the many scattered across the Andaman Sea, and all form part of the area between Krabi and the Koh Yao islands.
